	12	+I represent the end user of open source. Given my past voluntary Chair roles, I am naturally drawn to the OSI Board's work and direction. There is much work to be done and my experience in creating and modifying bylaws along with leading and being part of the teams for changes and new directions at AIChE, I understand the importance of policy and how new beginnings become the chain and balls of unwillingness to change. I believe we are coming to a critical time when open source can be misused leading to conservative and strangulating legislative and judicial guidance thereby forever changing the original intent and nature of open source.
