Will Microsoft will refund the patent royalties it has collected over Android?
If you answer by "I don't know", why should we vote for you then?
To be clear: I'm running as an individual, not as a Microsoft lawyer. That said, happy to answer in my individual capacity.
In my view, Microsoft has been working hard to turn the ship when it comes to Open Source and patents. For example, Microsoft joined OIN last year to lend its patent portfolio to support Open Source technologies. Because I've spent a lot of my career advising Free and Open Source communities who were worried about patent aggression (for example, I worked with others at SFLC to draft the Debian Patent Policy FAQ), I'm proud to have been a part of this process over my last year at Microsoft.
