General Meeting

No General Membership meeting is planned at this point.  Per our discussion at the board meeting in Boston, these have historically been lost in the very packed OSCON schedule.

Video Interviews

We will be able to do video interviews with board members, individual members and members of OSI Affiliate organizations during OSCON. The interviews will focus on:

  • What you do in the open source space?
  • How are you involved with the OSI?
  • From your perspective, what is the most important aspect of the OSI mission? (alternatively: the most important project the OSI is undertaking right now)
  • What are the benefits of working in the open source way?
  • Anything else you'd like to tell us?

Affiliate Booth Times

The OSI is making available times (Affiliate Office Hours) for OSI Affiliates to meet with the OSCON community. If an Affiliate (or members of the Affiliate community) is going to be at OSCON, they can sign up to represent the Affiliate at the OSI booth during these office hours. Please sign up in the table above or contact Patrick Masson at masson(a)opensource(dot)org.

Membership Cards

Was discussed in previous years. Hand out cards to anyone who signed up last year, and print new ones on the spot? Each year dismissed as too demanding (signing up, payments printing/lamination)

[ANR] What's required to make this fly? A printer and card lamination at the booth? Access to CiviCRM?
