I'm Carol Smith, currently Secretary and board director for the OSI and a program manager in the Microsoft Open Source Programs Office. I am the board sponsor of the ClearlyDefined project under the OSI. ClearlyDefined focuses on clarifying license data about FOSS, a project that lines up closely with OSI's mission I brought ClearlyDefined to the OSI over a year ago, and it has enjoyed great success since then. Why I'm Running

OSI's mission lines up well with my own experience. If I am re-elected to the board, I intend to continue and broaden my focus on:

• ClearlyDefined. 
• Secretaryship. I intend to run for the officer position of Secretary again.
